1. Client-Side Date Processing
All date calculations, project deadlines, weekend definitions, and custom holiday/makeup exceptions are processed entirely within your browser's local JavaScript runtime. No schedule data or dates are ever transmitted to any remote server or third-party cloud service.
2. First-Party Visit Counting and Optional Analytics
First-party visit counting keeps only a minimal count of page views on its own server without cookies so we can tell which tools and languages are used. First-party counting sets no visitor cookies and runs without advertising trackers, and visit counting is separate from the tool: what you calculate is never linked to it.
DatePacer may additionally offer optional Google Analytics 4 to understand general visitor traffic under regional privacy policies: in regions requiring prior consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and conservative jurisdictions) or where visitor region is unknown, measurement only activates if you explicitly choose Allow in the footer settings. In other recognized regions, measurement is enabled by default with opt-out available at any time via the footer settings (remains off if storage is blocked). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT) signal, Google analytics remains completely inactive. Refusing consent or opting out never limits any date calculation feature.
When enabled, Google Analytics uses pseudonymous cookies (such as _ga, expiring in up to 180 days) to distinguish unique visits, and your choice is remembered in localStorage for up to 180 days (or temporary memory if storage is unavailable). Google receives standard technical connection metadata, including your IP address, browser type, device details, referring domain, and clean page paths without date inputs or schedule exceptions. While advertising features, Google Signals, and ad personalization are disabled with no cross-site identification, network requests naturally touch your IP address and we do not claim complete anonymity. User and event data retention in Google Analytics is limited to 2 months with reset on new activity disabled; aggregate reports may remain longer. You can opt out or withdraw consent at any time via the footer settings; doing so immediately stops data collection and clears Google analytics cookies without affecting your session.
3. What the Visit Count Stores
The server records the requested page, the referring host, a coarse browser/device/country classification, and a per-visitor counter derived from a random salt that is replaced every day. We do not store your IP address, the full user-agent string, full referrer URLs, or any cookie identifier. Raw records are deleted after 14 days; only daily aggregate totals are kept longer. As with any web service, the hosting infrastructure may also keep standard connection metadata for network operations and abuse protection, but we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
4. Local State
Any settings you adjust in the interface reside exclusively in temporary browser memory for your current session and are discarded upon closing the tab, unless retained by your own browser cache.
